Every year it becomes more challenging to keep up-to-date and competitive.
To improve your expertise, build customer confidence, and prepare yourself to better handle the continuing demands of the industry, consider the ultimate educational goal--Professional Certification by DLI.
Accomplished through intensive self-study and testing, DLI professional certifications proves your commitment to success. The self-study guide, included in the examination fee, helps you to prepare. Each year in February and August multiple-choice exams are conducted at more than 1000 independent test sites around the country.
There are three ways to improve your business · Certified Profession Dry Cleaner (CPD), · Certified Professional Wetcleaner (CPW) · Certified Environmental Dry Cleaner (ED). All are accepted industry-wide as identifying individuals with a masterfull knowledge of the fabric care process.
· CED must demonstrate knowledge regarding environmentally appropriate ways of operating drycleaning equipment, disposing of hazardous wastes, and industry-related EPA and OSHA regulations.
· CPD must demonstrate their knowledge regarding professional drycleaning and the implements of prescribed drycleaning standards for physical plant facilities and safe equipment operations.
· CPW must demonstrate their knowledge of professional wet cleaning practices, fibers and fabrics, and customer service as it relates to this new technology.
More Convenient Than Ever
We’ve made the process to obtain CED, CPD, and CPW designations substantially more convenient than it has been. Beginning in 2006, cleaners can choose from more than 1,000 computer-based testing centers ( compared to 26 testing sites previously), schedule test dates at any point within a two-week window instead of a single date, and take more than one exam in a given period if so desired.
