DLI offers an opportunity for regional, state, and local associations and allied trade companies to bring DLI?s educational programs to their area. DLI travels to cities throughout the country and internationally. DLI can provide either 8-hour or 4-hour programs on

  • Stain Removal: This program covers stain removal tools, agents and procedures, pH scale, stain removal techniques for the removal of water marks and sizing rings, mineral oil barriers, and bleaches
  • Fibers and Fabrics: Care labeling, fiber characteristics, fiber identification, yarn structures, fabric construction, how fabrics get color, finishes, decorative trims, and how to identify potential problems are covered in this seminar.
  • Finishing: (In Plant Only) This hands-on seminar covers finishing tools and aids, how to finish different fabrics, finishing techniques, and factors that affect quality finishing.
  • drycleaning Fundaments: Factors that affect drycleaning quality, the latest drycleaning equipment technology, methods for troubleshooting the drycleaning machine, techniques for handling special items, and procedures for handling ink and lipstick loads.
  • Customer Service: Handling the job of a customer service representative, including customer expectations, talking to customers, identifying potential cleaning problems, and handling difficult situations.
  • Wetcleaning: Textiles, prespotting, load classification for professional wetcleaning, professional wetcleaning cycles, drying cycles for professional wetcleaning, hand cleaning, and finishing professionally wetcleaned garments are covered in this seminar.
  • Business Management: Organizing inventory control, production cost, analyzing production standards, profit analyses, building employee teams, getting your market share, and streamlining plant layout are outlined.
